But the story starts much earlier than that.
Where It All Began
Long before silversmithing tools, before my Isle of Wight studio, and before my first
customer order, there was a little girl painting strips of paper, rolling them into beads, and turning them into wearable treasures.
I remember feeling genuinely proud of what my hands could create.
That instinct never left me… it simply grew up.
From Paper Beads to Silversmithing
As the years passed, my love of making evolved into a deeper curiosity about how real jewellery was made.
I began with beading, moved into wirework, and eventually discovered silversmithing through a book I was given one Christmas.
Through local classes, hours of self-teaching, and plenty of trial and error, I slowly began to learn. Somewhere along the way, I fell completely in love with creating handcrafted silver jewellery.
There’s something special about working with silver:
- the weight of it in your hands
- the rhythm of the hammer
- the way a piece gradually reveals itself
Why I Chose Handmade Jewellery
For a long time, jewellery-making existed alongside a career that demanded everything from me.
Eventually, I made the decision I’ll never regret.
Instead, I chose to focus on creating genuine handmade jewellery, crafted slowly and intentionally, with meaning behind every piece.
